MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED
A valid ACBL player number is required to play in all events at the NABC. Along with one-year and three-year memberships, a new 30-day trial membership is available to new members for $7.99. Temporary and regular memberships can be purchased from Tournament Operations or the Check-Cashing Desk.
The Playing Area
On Wednesday, July 25, and Thursday, July 26, all bridge play will be in the Atrium Ballroom, Atrium Level. Here is an overview of event locations beginning Friday, July 27:
NABC+ and NABC Events – Atrium Ballroom, Atrium Level
Regional Teams (1 & 7:30 pm) – Marquis Ballroom, Marquis Level
Regional Pairs (1 & 7:30 pm) – Imperial and Marquis Ballrooms, Marquis Level
Regional Events (10 am & 3 pm) – International Level
Intermediate/Newcomer Events (I/N) – International Level The International Level is reached by escalator or an accessible elevator. It cannot be reached via the guest room elevators. The complete tournament schedule is included in the Restaurant Guide, which is available at the Welcome Desk. The Welcome Desk, Prizes and Information are located on Marquis Level. Vendors are on the fourth ﬂoor.

Purchase your entries for all events at the NABC via credit card! All major credit cards are
accepted wherever entries are sold. Charges will appear from PurplePass. Please be patient with directors using this new system.
A valid ACBL player number is required to play in all events at the NABC.
Players must be ACBL members whose service fees or dues are current in order to compete in any of the following nationally ranked events: Grand National Teams (Championship Flight), von Zedtwitz Life Master Pairs, Spingold Knockout Teams, Wagar Women’s Pairs, Truscott/USPC Senior Swiss Teams, Wernher Open Pairs, Freeman Mixed Board-A-Match Teams and the Roth Open Swiss Teams. The entry fees for these contests are $25 per player per session. For team events, this means $100 per team per session for fourperson teams, $125 per team per session for ﬁve-person teams, and $150 per team per session for six-person teams.
Note: Only ACBL members are eligible to play in NABC+ events. $1.50 per person per session beneﬁ ts the International Fund.
Players must also be current ACBL members to play in the Grand National Teams (Flights A, B & C), the 0–6000 and 0–2500 Mini-Spingold Knockouts, the 0–10,000 NABC Pairs, the 0–10,000 Mixed Swiss Teams, the Bruce LM–6000 Pairs, the Young 0–2500 Pairs and the Bean Red Ribbon Pairs. The entry fee is $17 per player per session. For the team events, this means $68 per team per session for teams of four, $85 per team per session for teams of ﬁve, and $102 per team per session for teams of six. (The GNT Flights A, B & C have no fee the ﬁrst two days of the contest.)
Regional championships are $16 per player per session for ACBL members, and $20 for lapsed members. For multi-session team events of three sessions or more, the entry fee is $64, $80 or $96 for teams of four, ﬁve or six, respectively. For team events of one or two sessions, the entry fee is $64 per session.
All other events are $15 per player per session for ACBL members, $19 for lapsed members.
Food and Fun
We are taking the midnight train to Georgia as we welcome you to the Atlanta Summer 2018 NABC Opening Reception. The fun will begin Friday, July 27 right after the evening session. The Funk Factory 5 band is ready to rock with you and will leave no one sitting on the dock of the bay. Rumor has it you will be shouting please don’t stop the music, I have moves like Jagger, I wanna dance with somebody and get down tonight. So, don’t be stuck like glue just shut up and dance because we ain’t too proud to beg. So please join us and be young, be foolish and be happy.
